So many times it happens that we install a new program on computer and our computer starts malfunctioning after the new installation. Even uninstalling that new application program does not help. Also, sometimes we change some settings but forget how to go back to old settings as something fails to work with new settings. This is where System Restore comes handy. By using System Restore we can easily go back to old settings of our machine. This is always a good idea to create a Restore Point before installing a new program or changing any system settings. Here is a brief tutorial on ‘How To Create Restore Point In Windows 8’
On your keyboard, hit ‘Windows + Pause/Break’ keys together. ‘System Window’ pops up. You could also get this ‘System Window’ by Right Clicking on ‘Computer’ and then Clicking on ‘Properties’.
On upper left side click on ‘System Protection’. ‘System Properties’ window pops up.
In ‘System Properties’ window, click on ‘Create’. ‘System Protection’ window pops up.
In ‘System Protection’ window, type some description of Restore Point so you could easily recognize when and why this Restore Point was created (example – ‘Before changing WiFi Settings’). Of course, ‘Current Date & Time’ are added automatically. Then click on ‘Create’. Your Restore Point is created.
Very handy information. Thank you.
